Ampwall works with different vendors to deal with payments.
When someone buys something from Ampwall, their payment is processed by PayPal. This is true regardless of whether they use a credit card via the form on the page or login to PayPal. Ampwall never sees your credit card or PayPal information.
An artist selling music and merch on Ampwall will get paid directly by PayPal. This requires every artist to have a personal or business account. We strongly advise you to use a business account to take advantage of upcoming improvements to our service!
Ampwall transaction fees are based on the total cost of the sale, just like PayPal fees. Shipping fees are excluded from Ampwall fees; PayPal does not exclude shipping fees. PayPal has their own fee structures that differ by region and payment method.
When someone signs up for Ampwall, we process the payment and manage the membership through Stripe. This does not require the Member to create an account on Stripe, it’s just a credit card charge. Stripe has no involvement or say in any of the content on Ampwall, they just process membership card transactions.
