As we love saying, music scenes are more than just people making music and people listening to music. On Ampwall, visual artists artists are recognized as crucial parts of our communities. In addition to other features that allow links between any pages, there are dedicated areas for creating links to visual artists.
Every music release can add a simple artwork credit link that will appear alongside the art. This can link to any page on Ampwall or externally.
After creating your music release, expand the Credits & collaborations section.
Scroll down to Artwork credit. You’ll see options for External link and Ampwall link.
Here you see an external artwork that links out to Alex Eckman-Lawn.
The Ampwall link can be any page on Ampwall. This will bring in their image for a more lively, colorful look.
If the visual artist added a dedicated Artwork page for a work that is used by a music or merch item, they can setup a more advanced Credit Collaboration! Instead of connecting to an artist’s page it will connect to the Artwork itself.
After enabling Artwork Controls and creating an Artwork, the artist scrolls down to “Linked items” and presses the “Add link” button
A dialog appears that asks for the link to the Music or Merch page they want to connect. This is the full URL of the page that you can get by just browsing to it then copy/paste into the text field. You’ll see a preview of the item you selected to ensure it’s the right one.
